HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

The House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m. Mr. P. Fraser (Wellington Central) gave notice to ask the Minister for Marine why the clause prohibiting the carriage of petrol as deck cargo had been deleted from the shipping regulations. Mr. W..H. Field (Otaki) wished fb ask the Minister of Railways if in view of the many complaints and the lack of business methods in the Railway Department he would consider the appointment of a permanent commercial agent, as recommended by Mr. Hiley.
