Tho Petone Club fired the-first match in tlie opening handicap serios ut Trentham on Saturday. The usual fishtail conditions were experienced, with dull light. Rflmn. D. Guinay put in his final shoot before leaving with /the New Zealand team for Australia, and was in fine form, making the splendid score of 101. He won 'the spoon, and Riflemen Nicholl and Hill the ammunition prizes. The scores were :—
