The members of the Suburbs Defence Rifle Club continued their championship shoot at Trentham on.Saturday,,at ranges 500 and 600 yards, .10-shots at each range. R. C. Barkle was again successful in gaining, top placa with 96, under bad condi- j tions. His shooting this season has been j of a brilliant order, he having no fewer than I three 49's over 200, 500, and 600 yards", making, a total of 356 out of a possible 570. .On Labour Day the club propose to shoot a triangular match with the Levin and Shannon Clubs, and also s a match with the Opaki Club at Masterton.
