• (BY, TELEGRAPH.—PRES3 ASSOCIATION.) TE AWAMUTU, Bth October. A burning accident which occurred afl Pirongia this morning resulted in serious injuries to Mrs. Parsons,.wife of a popular settler. She was in indifferent health, and occupied a room adjoining that of her husband, who .at 2 o'clock was awakened by her calling. He found the room, ablaze, and with difficulty carried Mrs. Parsons to the verandah, and subsequently checked the flameis. She waa unconscious all day, and her condition is critical. .
