(The sterling exchange on New York during the war was 5.06 highest, 4.50 lowest; March, 1920, 3.9G highest, 3.42 lowest; April, 4.02 highest, 3.76J lowest; May, 3.98 highest, 3.81 lowest June, 3.95J highest, 3.92* lowest; July, 8.06 highest, 3.75 lowest. August, 3.68 highest, 3.53 lowest. On 2Dd September, 3.56| dollars; on 6th September, 3.55J dollars; on 9th September, 3.54J dollars; on 16th September, 3.49J dollars; on 27th September, 3.49J dollars; on 30th September, 8.47 dollars).
