Parts of Scotland have been devastated by wind and rain-storms. The rivers Dee and Don are flooded, and the countryside for miles is inundated. These are the worst floods since August, 1829, when the Moray fjoods occurred, and the rivers Spey and Findhorn rose in some places fifty feet, causing great loss of property and many lives. The shffcmng at Aberdeen suffered heavy damage. "SUve drifters and two small steamers have been wrecked.
