CAETERTON, This Day. The new hall Being erected at Belvedere is now almost completed. The only work now-required is the flooring and lining, and this work has bsen. delayed on account of the shortage of material.

At a clearing sale at Parkrale yesterday, an average of £26 10s was obtained for adairy herd. Mr. John Dineen, probation officer, under the Education Department, was a visitor to the Wairarapa yesterday. The operations of builders in the Carter-' ton district is being held up in all directions on account of the shortage of all classes of .material.
