DRAUGHTS

THE WATERSIDERS' CLUB. The above club's sealed handicap tourney for players in Class A has just been concluded. It will be seen that the handicappers (Messrs. J. Reid, Burgess, and Kent) were successful in bringing about a close finish, the final figures beine as follow :—

The first prize is thus won by Mr. Masters, the second by Mr. Armstrong, and the third by Mr. Osborne. The- beat scores were made by Messrs. Butler, J. Reid, and Burgess. Tho sealed handicaps were rather on the liberal side,-but it is doubtless in the best interests of the game to occasionally encourage th 9 younger players rather than the old campaigner. . . ■ ■
