Petone secured a three-point win from V.M.C.A. V.M.C.A, went in first and made 94 (Enoka 43). Petone replied with 205 (Corner 18, Edliu, not out, 34, Edwards 24, Warden 21, K. Rodger 21, Ryder 20, Gardiner 10). Y.M.C.A.'s second innings realised 126, the best scorers being Enoka (48), Kinvig (24), Mataara. (13), and Hopkirk (10). Petene went in'again, and scored 25 for the loss of four wickets. In the bowling section, Milne, Mataara, and Kinvig did the best for V.M.C.A., and for Petone Rodger and Corner divided the wickets.
Johnsonville had no difficulty in accounting for Hutt at Lower'Hutt on Saturday.- Hutt made 38 and 63 (Glennie <jy, F. Lusty 19), and Johnsonvillc 234 (I. Myers 105 not out, H. Bramley 47, Trevethick 32, J. Moore 18). Wright, Glennie, and Wilson bowled best for Hutt, and Myers, Moore, and Bramley for Johnsonvflle.
The third-class game, Centics v. Ceii-^ tral Mission, resulted in .1 win for' Centics by three- wickets. Scores:— : Centica, 55 and 125 for seven wickets; Central ■Mission, 93 and 81. For Centics Butcher scored 16 and 40, Smith 20. Jenkins 19, Hester 17, Taylor 16, Hamilton 10, and for Central Mission Hasseli 39 not out and 16, M'Farlane 22 and 11, Tidman 12, C. Anderson 12, Henneker 12, Whaler 11, Osborno 10. Bowling.— For.Centics: Smith seven for 72, .Allen six for 54, Hamilton fonr for 19. For Central Mission : Hassell ten for 68, Osborne three for 48, Tidinan two for 30.
