BRITISH TRADE COMMISSIONER
His Majesty's Trade Commissioner (Mr. R. W. Dalton) leaves Wellington on 22nd August for England. He has to make some further enquiries in Australia concerning the trade of the Pacific Islands. His visit to the United Kingdom has been, arranged by the Imperial authorities in accordance with the scheme announced some time ago. The Imperial Trade Commissioners, who occupy posts in various parts of the Empire, are to pay periodical visits to Great Britain in order that the information they_ have acquired may be placed at the disposal of British manufacturers and traders. Mr. Dalton will spend six months in the United Kingdom, and duritg that tune he will travel throughout the country for the purpose of getting into touch with manufacturers. He expects to interview personally not fewer than 1500 British manufacturers during his stay. He has been in New Zealand two and a half years.
