KILBIRNIE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

The annual meeting of the Kilbirnie portion of the congregation of the Evians Bay Presbyterian Church was 3ield last evening. The Rev. Hugh Beggs occupied the chair.

The annual report stated, that the year was started with a total membership of 151, and during the year 22 new members joined. Eleven members, however, left the church, and the present membership stands at 162. The attendance a>t the four quarterly Communions was as follows : September 122, December 103, March 110, June 110. During the year fo.ur members of the congregation passed away, including Messrs. J. B. Smith and A. Stirratt (killed in action). The attendance at the Sunday school is gradually improving and is becoming more satisfactory. A vote of thanks ' was given the Sunday school teachers, the Bible class leaders, the .organists, and the church choirs. It was with a sense of pride that the session viewed the large number of young men who had gone from the church to fight, and the hope was expressed that it would not be long before they were back again. The report and balance-sheet were adopted without discussion.
