N.Z. NATIVES' PATRIOTIC FAIR
To-morrow morning sees the kick-off of the New Zealand- Natives' Patriotic Fair, which commences in the Town Hall on, Monday next, at 7.30 p.m., -as advertised elsewhere. Surprise baga will be for sale to-morrow morning, and the public will bo wise to buy early, as only a limited number will be sold in- the streets. The bags will not only contain a prize of some value, but over 100 orders for poods, groceries, meat, seeds, shaves, haircuts, boots repaired, etc., have been added. Amongst the bags are special prize tickets for gold cable bangle, diamond and emerald ring, eiderdown quilt, blankets, lace curtains, pictures, tables, vases, etc., and for these prizes the numbers will bo made known on Friday night. It might be stated that the tickets marked special prize and number will entitle the holder to somo prize of value, but what it is will not be known until the sealed packet is broken. Therefore, the committee warns purchasers to take groat care of • special prize tickets. For each evening of the fair, a, programme has been arranged by Madame Mueller, and in addition the band and orchestra will assist.
