Following the success of the Auckland mnnicipal fish' supply scheme, a desire has been expressed to have a better and cheaper fish supply for smaller towns. The Board of Trade has made a tentative arrangement' for a supply which will be distributed by the Borough Council in Taumanynui without profit. Should this prove' satisfactory, > similar arrangements may be made with other town* on the Main Trunk line. The success of the proposals depends mainly upon good and cheap means of transport by rail being available. ;
