ACCLIMATISATION MATTERS

At the last monthly meeting of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, the secretary read the regulations gazetted for the game shooting season of 1917 in the Wellington Society's district. Any holder of a ,£1 license may shoot cock pheasants, hares, Californian and Australian quail from. Ist May to 31st July. Grey ducks, teal ducks, and black swarlS may be shot without license between the same dates. Twenty-five birds per gun per day is the limit. Awapuni Camp, was fined £1 for having a hare in his possession out of seasop.
