t The French Club held its weekly meet- i ing on Thursday. There was a fair at' tendance. Mies Rayward played a pianoforte solo. Mr. King read an article by M. Flammarion, the wellknown astronomer. It calk upon neutral nations to insist that the Germans shall leave Belgium, and that that country shall experience no more of the horrors of war. Madame Dechanet M'lntosh read a, paper on "The Life and Writings of Henry Murger." His principal work, "Bohemian Life," describes in a humorous manner the struggles, and withal the gaiety of the art students of hia time, Several members expressed their appreciation of Madame M'lntosh's sketch of that author.
