Owing to' the heavy rain of .the . last few days the course is holding in places. Results :—: — Moteo Hurdles, of 150 sovbj one mile and three-quarters. — Hurakia, 11.9, 1; Forelight, 9.2, 2; Scrutineer, 9.4, 3. Scratched : Kia Toa and Pipeclay. Won by_ a head, a length between second and third. Time, 3min 25 3-ssec. Petane Steeplechase, of 150 soys; two miles. — Master Malachi, 9.9; 1; Dogger Bank, 10.13, 2; Grey Renown, 10.5, 3. Scratched : Golden Water, Pelican, and Merry Lad. Kirby fell. Won by ten chains, the same distance between second and third. Time, 4min 25 4-ssec. Stewards' Handicap, of 250 bovb; one mile.— His Eminence 9.0, 1; Black Heart 9.0, 2; Diavolo 8.1, 3. Won by half a length. Scratched : Byron. Time, lmin 47 2-ssec, Napier Steeplechase, of 500 soys ; three miles.— Glenmore, 11.2, 1; Bollin, 9.10, 2, Naupata, 9.7, 3. Only the first two horses kept the course. The rest fell, Naupata being remounted. Won by a length. Scratched — Leapuki. Time, 6min 44sec
