EXPENDITURE SUMMARY. Estimates for the year 1915-16 were adopted by the City Council last night. Details of rating "proposals have already been published. District Allocation : City district, £25,100; Island Bay district, £3452; Kelburn district, £3367 ; Kilbirnie district, £4003; Northland district, £1715 ; Ohiro district, £3552 ; Rosenealh district, £1510 : Wadestown district, £1325 ; incidental throughout city, £1500; total, £45,524.

The following progress report has been issued by the manager of the Waihi Company :— "No. 11 level: Edward lode intersected at 119 ft in crosscut, due west from south section of Empire lodej next 12ft across lode, worth L.§ 2» 3d ncr ton."
