Won all the way easily by five lengths. A neck separated second and third. President's Handicap; two miles. — Whispering Willie, SOsec, 1; General Grant. 28sec, 2; Dandy Lyons. 3Osec, 3. Scratched — Hiroki *23sec, Clevewood 28sec. Whispering Willie led all the way, and won pulling up by eight lengths. Dandy Lyons was a further six lengths back. Time, smin 4 2-ssec. Winter Handicap; one mile and aquarter.—St. Kevin, seec, 1; Sherwood, 4sec, 2; Eccentric, 2sec, 3. Scratched— | Little Kauri ssec, Calm ssec. Five fur- j longs from home Bell Metal, who was 1 leading was called off ■ for anticipating the bell. St. Kevin and Sherwood then ! fought out a great finish, the former j winning by a head.
