INSANE AND WICKED ADVOCACY. MR. REDMOND ON LOYALTY TO A TREATY. • (Received December 8, 9.10 a.m.) , LONDON, 7th December. Mr. Redmond, speaking at Tuam, said that there were 89,000 Irishmen in the Army whan the war broke otitj 54,000 have since enlisted, apart from the Irish- ] men in the Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand contingents. Ireland had made a treaty of peace with England, the breaking .of which would mean eternal disgrace. Yet there were men insane and wicked enough to advocate the tearing up of a solemn undertaking between the democracies.
