THE NOVELIST'S HIGH PRAISE. (Received December 8, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, 7th December. Mr. Rudyard Kipling is publishing a series of sketches in the Daily Telegraph upon the training of Kitchener's armies. He expresses the opinion that j the men are passionately in earnest to I learn soldiering. They are extremely well fed, and are overcoming every handicap by good-will, humour, self-sacri-fice, and commoil'sense.
