ROWING EIGHT-OARED CHAMPIONSHIP.
(BY TELEGRAPH.- TRESS ASSOCIATION.) WANGANUI, 28th March. A race for the eight-oared championship of New Zealand, carrying the Somerville Shield, was successfully defended to-day by the Union 8.C., who beat the chaHongers (Wunganui R.C.) by two feet, after a grpat struggle.
