ANNIVERSARY SERVICES

The services in connection with the Donald M'Lean-street Sunday School anniversary were concluded last evening, when a varied programme was submitted. The chair was occupied by the Rev. J. Southern. The report by the treasurer, Mr. E. A. Oxley, showed the school to be in a sound financial position. In the secretary's report regret was expressed a* the loss of Sir. C. Ridding, who served the school as secretary for seventeen years, but who, through sickness, saw fit to relinquish that position. During the evening the Rev. J. Ward briefly addressed the audience, and expressed himself pleased with the singing of the hymns. The prizes gaiaed by the scholars during the year were distributed by the chairman. The following scholars contributed recitations : — Muriel Williamson, Doris Jones, Kate Earle, Radnor Oxley, Majorie Ridding, Tom Pearson, and Jack Mountier; and Mr. W. Light rendered Handel's celebrated Largo on the 'cello. Votes of thanks were passed for all those who assisted to make the anniversary a success.
