Mr. Hawker, the aviator, who attempted to fly round Britain, for the Daily Mail prize of £5000, was besieged by women wanting his autograph. He waded knee deep into the sea to escape, but the women followed, and he then accepted the inevitable. , (Press Association). LARGER AND MORE POWERFUL MACHINE. LONDON, 29th August. There are indications that larger and more powerful machines than Mr. Hawker's Sopwith hydro-aeroplane will be built to compete for the Daily Mail £5000 pTizo of 1914.
