[ America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and j Continent of Europe, will be via Vancouver, closing at Wellington, per Main Trunk train, on Friday, 9th May, at 10 a.m. late-fee letters at C.P.0., 10.15 a.m.; late-fee ! letter box at Thorndon Railway Station, 11.45 a.m. Mails for Canada, United State* of America, Central America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, via Fiji, Honolulu, and Vancouver, close at Auckland, per Niagara on Saturday, 10th May. at 8 a.m. The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. All books and sample packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter mail closes. Unless otherwise specified registered letters and parcels-pet packages must be handed in and money orders obtained one , hour before the ordinary mail closes'. Money orders for abroad must be obtained two hours before tho advertised time of closing tnails. All tho principal mails by train and steamer close at Te Aro and Courtenay Place Post Offices at the same hours as at the Chief Post Office, with the exception that there is no late-fee clearance, and that mails by the ferry steamers for Southern Offices, also mails tor Auckland and Auckland District by Second Main Trunk Train close at 6 p.m. As the Ist to the 28th May is a postal statistical period, tho times for the closing the mails at this 1 office mentioned hereunder during that time will be as follows: — Mails for Australian States, also United Kingdom aqd Continent of Europe, etc., via Suez Canal, will close at 3 p.m. ; late-fee letters, 3.30 p.m. Mails for Canada, United States of America, Central America, West Indies, and United Kingdom (via San Francisco), also mails for Rarotonga and Tahiti, will close at 2.30 p.m.; late-fee letters at 3 p.m. Mails for Canada, United States of America, Central America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe (via Vancouver), also mails for Fiji and Honolulu, will close at 10 a.m.; late-fee letters, 10.15 a.m. A.
