CAPPING CARNIVAL

TO-MORROW'S CEREMONY. The annual capping carnival of the Victoria. College students . will be held to-morrow. In accordance with the prevailing custom, a procession will parade the town, introducing throughout the route characteristic examples of student humour. The extravaganza for this year's evening performance at fbe Town Hall is entitled "Humpty-Dumpty, or the Classics Up to Date," a short play written round the central theme of the "Fall." It is a. concoction containing certain elements, political < and otherwise,' of topical interest, and is to be served up with plenty of seasoning. Prominent politicians and local celebrities are held up to kindly ridicule, and outstanding events are burlesqued as only students can burlesque. Then there are the capping «ong6 — always one of the features of the celebration.
