MINE MANAGER'S REPORT. New Sylvia. — The reef at the battery level, between Nos. 2 and 3 rises, is 4ft wide, and looks well. A stope is being worked north of No. 3 rise, the reef being 4ft wide. The No. 1 rise is being extended up to the intermediate. 3evel from the top of No. 2 stope, the a«ef being 2ft wide. On the crosscut one stope is in progress, the reef is 3ft ■wide and heavily mineralised. The Jdrive on the cross reef has been advanced 9ft; the ore is poor. The low level has been extended a total distance of 38ft, the country being still of a good description.
