Ifesterday afternoon the Government steamer Hinemoa sailed from VVestport in continuation of 'her ivoyage to Wellington. She ie to make a call at the Brothers tigutiiou£« on the way up, and should arrive in port this evening. Next week the vessel will leave on her periodical trip to Cook Strait lighthouses. Owing to the heavy westerly gale on Sunday last the Mangapapa, bound from Wellington to Westport, was compelled to shelter behind Farewell Spit. \o word has yet been received as to whether the little vet*el has continued her journey to the West Coast port. Under charter to the Vacuum Oil Company the Strathroy left New York on the 29th May for Auckland. Napier, Wellington, Lyt•teltons Timaru, and Dunedin. The vessel is bringing a full cargo of case oils. About the cud of this week the Uuion Company's steamer Wairuna will leave Newcastle for Wellington and Dunedin. Last eveniup the Corinna left Wellington, for One-uunga via way ports. From the northern jiort site bails direct for Picton, where a load of chaff for Dunedin will be pkked up.
