SEVERE BATTLE AT TEPIC DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO CAPTURE THE TOWN. BRITISH WARSHIP DESPATCHED. By Telegraph — Pre«s Antoclatlon.— Copyright. MEXICO CITY, 28th April. The bloodiest battle of the insurrection ie proceeding in the Tepic district, on the Pacific border, where 2000 followers of Zapata are desperately attempting to capture the town. Heavy fighting has occurred in the streets of Tepic, and a big cathedral collapsed as a result of artillery fire. There is great lose of life, and much looting of stores is 'proceeding. A Bi-itish warehip is en route to the Mexican coast to protect the lives of Britons, and a second -warship is expected. Depredations by bandits along the lino 'of the Panama railway have left the railway idle. CAPTURED AND SACKED. LOOTING CONTINUES. .. (Received April 29, 8.30 a.m.) MEXICO CITY, 28th April. It is reported that the rebels captured and sacked Tepic after sever© fighting. Looting throughout the district continues.
