[The Dickens Centenary gala performance' was held at the Coliseum on Sunday, 7th January. Sir John Hare, Mr. E. S. Willard, and three hundred leading actors and actresses appeared in Dickens characters, the performance Tesulting in the sum of £2500 being obtained for the five grandchildren of the novelist, who are the daughters of Mr. Charles Dickens, junior.]
