Police, and is minus an arm, which was bitten off by a tiger while big game shooting. He claims cousinship to the Duke of Fife, and is fully aware that even if he succeeds in proving his claim to the title there may be no estate or money attaching to the peerage. (Received February 1, 10.35 a.m.) WASHINGTON, 31st January. President Taft has sent a message of sympathy at the death of .the Duke of Fife.
