Apples and oranges -> in good order hasre come io "hand from San Francisco, but have not yet been offered in the market. From Sydney there were on Wednesday small shipments of oranges at IDs to 15s and mandarins at lls to 14s. Pines realised 17s to 20s, cherries, good order, 9s to lls (others 2s to 3s), plums 7s, apricots 8s to 9s, French beans 2d to 3d. Melbourne cherries, in good order, went with a ready sale, and Meesina lemons went at 20s. Onions fetched 10s to lls, and Nelson tomatoes 14s to 15s, gooseberries 4s to : 4s 6d, plums 4s, red currants p& to 7s, cherries 7s to 9s 6d, strawberries Is, and grapes Is 9d. Vegetables ar© in good supply, and demand. Cabbage., prime 4s to 6s 6d, others 2s to 3s, cauliflowers 7s to 10s, carrots 5s to 6s, parsnips 7s, turnips 4s, lettuce, choice 3s to 4s 6d, others Is to 2s, Nelson peas 4s 6d to 5s per cental, Otaki 7s to 9s per part sack. Potatoes (new) brought 8s to 8s 6d for Htrtt grown and others 7s to 7s 6dj old potatoes are practically valueless. Vegetable marrows went at 8s to 10s per case. Tahiti bananas, infair order, sold) at 8s to 9s. In. other lines cuc"nnibers were sold, at 3d? to s£d ea6h, asparagus 6cl .to 9d," tomatoes (Htsit) 9d to 9^d, grapes (Hutt) 2s, strawberries Is 3d to Is 6d, gooseberries 2d to 2id per lb. Eggs are arailable at lid per dozen.
