M. f Hughes, Acting I'ede.ral-Premier, against the jury's verdict in the. Bellinger eafie his been diamiesed with coate. On sth June the Banco Court at Sydney imposed a fine of £256 on William Morris Hughed, Attorney-General, and Acting Prime Minister 1 of Australia, for asaault and of agreement with one Richard Bellinger. The latter had contracted with Mr. Hughe* to worlf his dairy farm at Windsor on the share system for twelve months. After eight weeks defendant declared that the farm waa not being properly worked, and ordered Bellinger lo cjttit. Bellinger refused, and Mr, Hughes had him forcibly removed. A stay of proceedinge Avas granted pending a decision of the full Court on some points of law.
