Tenders for the erection of Pinny's Buildings, at v the corner of Willis-street and Old Customhouse-street, on land belonging to Mr. T. P. Coverdale, will be called as spon sis matters connected v/ith the acquisition of a ten-foot strip of the Willis-street frontage by the City Council have been finally dealt with. Tho corporation has taken steps to widen Willis-street past the property, but the ametint which it has to pay Mr. Coverdale has not yet been fixed. The buildings which arc to be placed on the site will be of the steel-frame type, designed by Messrs Hoggard and Prouse, and will be three stories high. Mr. F. J. Pinny will occupy tho whole of the top story and a largo portion of the ground floor. The remainder of the premises is to be divided into shops and offices. Mr. Robert Cook, of Wadestown, formerly of H.M. Customs, has been seriously ill, but his condition is now reported to be more satisfactory. To-morrow Mr. W. L. .Robertson will sell the contends of a six-roomed house at his rooml7 Manners-street. Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonald, Limited, will hold ii sale to-morrow, at their rooms, commencing at 2.30 o'clock, of Irish linens, on account of Mr. J. V. Murphy, the Bel-fa-t shippsr, who is returning to Ireland. Tho goods will be sold without reserve. On Wednesday, 12th instant, the firm ,will hold a salo of household furniture in their rnomj, commeneinsf at 1.30 o'clock, comprising Chesterfield lounge, leather diningroom &ujte, and largo mirror-back side- ■ boaid.
