PLENTY OF LETTUCES. The Sydney shipment by the Moeraki was the most important arrival this week. A lavge portion of the citrus fruit landed in bad condition. Oranges were quitted at from 5s to 6s ; Navel' oranges 6s to 8s ; mandarins, 8s to 12s ; lemons, 6s to 8s ; all per bushel case. Pineapple brought from 6s to 9s per double case; passion fruit, 5s to 7s od per half-case; cucumbers, 10s to 12s per bushel case. New potatoes were sold at 32s per cwt. The Warrimoo, from Hobart, landed 1000 cases of cooking and dessert apples, the former being quitted at from 6s 6d to 8s ; Stunners, 7s to 8s ; Golden Russets, 7s to 9s. There was very little choice fruit available this week. Lemons from Mildura soid from 7s to 9s, according to condition. VEGETABLES. All vegetables are in good request. The early spring cabbages are now coming forward, and are selling at from- 7s to 8s per sack. Good cauliflowers are scarce, and worth 8s to 12s per sack. Parsnips are in demand at 7s to 8s per sack. Carrots and turnips Were quitted at from 3s to ss; artichokes, 6s to 8s; marrows, 2s to 2s 6d; and pumpkins 3s to 4s (all. per sack) ; swedes, 2s#o 2s 6d per cwt ; beetroot, 4s to 5s per sack. Lettuces are -very plentiful, and selling at, from 2s to d s ; spinach, 4s to 5s per case ; celery, 3s to 4s ; spring onions, 9d to Is ; radish, 9d to lOd per' dozen ; ■ local hothouse cucumbers, 5d to 8d each : asparagus, lOd to 2s per bundle. Tomatoes brought Is 3d per Ib. Onions are quiet, from 6s 6d to 7s per cwt, and potatoes fetched from 8s to 9s. Nelson cooking apples sold at from 6s to 7s per case. Dessert sorts are about finished. The Athenic, from Hobart, is bringing further consignments from Tasmania. Lower Hutt rhubarb is now coming to hand, and selling from 10s to 15s per dozen large bundles. The mam crop will commence to be pulled during the next ten days. The market is well supplied with cut blooms, aiid fairly satisfactory prices are being received.
