CENTRAL MISSION SALE OF WORK.

The work of the Central Mission appeals to a large circle of sympathisers, who will be interested to learn that the annual appeal for financial assistance is at present meeting with a liberal response. The enlarged scope of the mission operations, and the forward movement into the King's Theatre on Sundays, have doubled the liabilities of the mission during this year, but uavo more than justified themselves- by the work accomplished. The workers of the mission have been energetically preparing for a large sale of work as their share in the bearing of the burden, and this will be held on Wednesday and Thursday next in the Wesley School Hall, Taranaki-street, kindly lent througn the courtesy of tho trustees. Many attractions are being prepared for both evenings, old and young being catered for ; and the culmination of the effort will be the cutting of the fruit from a, "goldn tree" by Dr. PlnltsMills. This valuable tree will yield a large supply of golden coins, the result of much careful collecting and selfsacrifice on the part of the members, and the form of contribution io a unique one.
