AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

Messrs J. H. Bethune and Co. announce in our auction columns that on Wednesday next, 17th inst., at 2.30 p.m., at their rooms, under instructions from the Registrar of the Supreme Court, they are submitting a residential property at Kelbiirne. This comprises freehold land, having a frontage to Kelburne Parade of 43ft 3in, by a depth varying from 78ft 2in to 93ft Bin, on which Stands a dwellinghouse of six rooms, with laundry, bathroom, and workshop. The firm, also under instructions from tlio Registrar of the Supreme Court, are. submitting at their rooms at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 31st inst., a property at Petone. This comprises land having an area of 15.5 perches, with a. frontage of 37ft' 9in to Bolton-street, by a depth of 111 ft 7in, on which stands a dwellinghouse of five rooms and conveniences. In their Exchange Auction Rooms, on Monday, at 2 o'clock, Messrs T. Kennedy Macdonald, Ltd., will continue the unreserved auction sale of Messrs. Hammond and Patrick's assigned jewellery stock, when £960 worth of diamond rings, watches, brooches, chains, c.p. ware, etc., wil^ be sold absolutely without reserve. Owing to the Mannersstreet premises being too small to accommodate all the buyers, the firm have removed the jewellery to their auction rooms. On Tuesday, commencing at 1.30 p.m., the contents of 252, Welling-ton-terrace (twb doors from Mountstreet) will be disposed of. Included in the catalogue will be found an Bft extension dining'-table, Chesterfield lounge, Edison's Standard phonograph, upright grand piano, etc., which will be on view on morning of sale. On Wednesday, at 1.30 o'clock sharp, the firm will hold their weekly furniture sale in their rooms, when the contents of nine rooms will be sold on account of a gentleman who is giving up housekeeping. A dining-room suite, Axminster carpet, sideboard, bedroom suite, etc., are included in the list of goods to be disposed of on this occasion. Messrs. Harcourt and Co. will sell on Tuesday. 23rd August, at 2.30, at their rooms, Panama-street, a section in Petone with a shop and dwelling erected thereon ; and on Wednesday, 24th August, at the same time and place, a city investment, consisting of a section and brick store in Taranaki-street. and also a villa residence of five rooms, being No. 4. Angus-avenue, Newtown. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. advertise auction notice of a furniture sale they are holding at their rooms, 261, Brandon-street, on Wednesday, commencing at 1.30 The catalogue includes upright grand jiiaho, two Axminster carpets, and drawing and dining-room effects. The same afternoon the firm will sell a separator Ly Burmeister and Wain, with a capacity of 110 gallons per hour. The firm also insert preliminary notice of a sale they are holding on the Bth and 9th of September, commencing each day at 10.30 a.m., on behalf of Mr. L. Rose Jaggar, who is leaving for England. The sale will be held at his residence, 59, Boulcott-street. and comprises the complete contents of 12 room*, including massive upright i>rand Lipp piano.
