The Bank of England rate of discount has been reduced from 5 to 4i per cent. ADVANCE IN TIN. Tin. — On spot, £145 15s (an advance of £1 10s); three months, £147 5s (an advance of £1 ss). The advances are due to the renewal of "bull" support, and to "bears" covering previous sales. AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE MARKETS. SYDNEY, 9th December. At the hide sales to-day supplies were small. There was a keen demand, and prices wore very firm.
