The best despatch for Canada and United States of America will be via Vancouver, closing at Wellington, per Mam Trunk train, on Tuesday, 21st December, at 11.15 a.m.; Chief Post Office, 11.30 a.m. ; mail van, 12.15 p.m. The Parcel-post branch of the Chief Post Office, Wellington, has been removed from St. George's Buildings, Brandon-street, to the building known as tho Drillshed, Maginnitystreet. Parcels should be deposited at and taken delivery of at the Drillshed. Unless otherwise specified, registered letteri and parcels-post packages must be handed in and money orders obtained cne hour befora the ordinary mail closes. Money orders for abroad must be obtained two hours before the advertised time of closing mails, with the exception of those despatched overland via Auckland, when tho latest time for obtaining money-orders is 9.1S a.m. All books and sample packets and newi< papers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter mail closes.
