MINING NEWS.

» , WAIHI GRAND JUNCTION."" PROGRESS REPORT.

[Bt Telegraph. — Special to The Post.] WAIHI, This Day. Although shares in the Waihi Grand Junction Gold** Company declined in price to-day, there has been no change to warrant a variation either way as far as mine developments are concerned. The reef in the drive west from the south-east crosscut (according to the opinion of the management, probably the main royal) which was officially reported as showing 20 feet of ore in the face, worth on the average £4 10s per ton, is now being broken down between the two drives, with the object of determining the full dimensions and general conformation of the lode.
