WAIHI EXTENDED.
THE NEW LODE AT NO. 5 LEVEL. WAIHI, This Day. Nothing further has been done on the make of ore met with about 230 feet out in the south-east crosscut from No. 5 level in the Waihi Extended mine, the manager having decided not to shoot the face owing to the possibility of meeting an increased volume of water. So far, the drills have penetrated quartz for four of five feet, and the borings show that it contains mineral.
