(Received March 2, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day."* Mr. Batchelor, Federal Minister for External Affairs, was an interested watcher during the examination of the papers presented by fifteen Chinese seeking entry into the Commonwealth. Mr. Batchelor states that their naturalisation papers purported to have. been issued to men of ages ranging from 45 to 70 years, whereas the ages of the holders ranged from 21 to 45. The majority, he states, are certainly not 30 years of age. It is said that under a system which yields a handsome profit to a wily syndicate, naturalisation papers at prices ranging from £6 to £15 are purchased and sent_ to China for the use of tho^e persons intended to be smuggled into Australia. Last week twelve young Chinese were arrested- for possessing the naturalisation papers of old. Chinese, and ordered to be deported.
