MONO-RAIL.
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE INVENTOR. By Telegrapn.— Press Association.— Copjright. MELBOURNE, Bth December. The Federal Government has received the terms on which Mr. Brennan is willing to concede the use of his mono-rail. If the Government will pay £6000 before the end of the year towards the cost of final experiments, Mr. Brennan will grant the use of his invention in Australia on a 5 per cent, royalty. Mr. Louis Brennan, C.8., the inventor of the celebrated torpedo whioh bears his' name, was born in Ireland, but resided in Melbourne for nineteen "years. The gyroscope plays a prominent part in the mono-rail system. In June last the inventor forwarded an official description of the mono-railway, and asked the Commonwealth's assistance towards the expense of development. The invention is also under offer to the Indian Government.
