Bannerman, took place yesterday. The result is as follows :—: — Mr. Arthur Ponsonby, Liberal ... 3873 Mr. Whitelaw, Unionist 2512 Liberal majority 1361 The late Sir Henry Campbell-Banner-man sat for Stirling district from 1868 to the time of his death— a period of forty years. At the general election in 1906 ho was returned unopposod.
