THE. WILLIAMSON SEASON. "Brewster's Millions" are losing none of their popularity at the Opera House. Nightly the building is filled, and nightly the audience gives eveiy sign of delight with the performance. Tbi* sparkling comedy will run for only two more evenings. FULLERS' ENTERTAINERS. Another crowded houst greeted Fullers* entertainment at the Theatre Royal last evening. The programme, which contains many humorous and pnjoyabkj turns, will be repeated to-night. HIS MAJESTY'S. The popularity of the" Royal Picture* at His Majesty's continues unabated. The building was filled last night by an appreciative' audience. CARTER THE MAGICIAN. Mr. H. P. Lyons, who is in advance of Carter the Magician, arrived in Wellington yesterday. The great illusionist will make his first appearance hero at th<» Opera House on Monday night. Referring to a recent entertainment, an ex- - change says :— "Carter transforms live/ guinea pigs into sweetly-smelling bouquets of flowers ; changes rose leaves into coffee, milk, and sugar; makes a disembodied hand tap on a pane of glass like the immortal raven of Poe's ; causes handkerchiefs to be mysteriously and visibly spirited, from one place to another in the twinkling of an eye ; charms cards from a gloss tumbler, that have been selected by the auditors, to float v through the air, and performs other feats. Carter also reproduces the 'Mysteries of. the Yogis"— an exhibition of " so-called spirit power— and 1 in part three of the entertainment presents an impersonation' of the Chinese magicians. He is assisted" by Abigail Price, who, it ia said, reads the thoughts of her auditors as easily. as «he would read a book. CLARA BUTT FINAL CONCERTS. Tho excellent patronage extended to tho Clara Butt-Rumford concert* given here some weeks ago has encouraged MeEsrs. J. and N. Tait to give two further concerts at the Town, Hall. The dates have been fixed for tho 3rd and sth March, and these appearances will mark there artists' farewell to New Zealand • audiences. The successes attending the' 'present tour of the South Island aro as ■ remarkable as hero and in the Northern centie. To allow residents to hear the contralto and her husband for tho Last time, prices for these concerts for reserved seats have been fixed at 10s 6d . and 7s 6d. The box-plans for both, concerts will open at the Dresden on Tues» day, 25th. February. ' "Open night" was duly celebrated afc last session of Pioneer Lodge, 1.0. G.T., Bro. Allan, C.T., presiding. Mr. Watkin's orchestra and company contributed a number of concert items, and were given a vote of thanks. / Sisters M. Richards ,and Atkinson were also thanked for assisting in the entertainment.
