HUTT VALLEY RIFLES. A competition was fired "for tho Cham pionship Shield and Company Trophies. Lance-Corp. Jackson made 32 at 200 yds, and Col.-Sergt Baker 32 at 500 yds.

HIGHLAND RIFLES. The company fired at 300 and 6CO yards for the company bolt, Ballantyne Shield, 6roydo6roydo aggregato, and company trophies. Tho best scores at 300 yds were Corp. M'lvor's 28 and Corp. Marsden's 27. At 600\ds.Sergt. M'Millan put tin 29, Corp. M'lver 28, and Pvt. S. Shannon (a B class shot of groat promise) also put on 28/ Most of tho scores were kept down byt a light, but tricky wind blowing- in n. genuine fishtail style, sometimes from the right and sometimes from the left.

ZEALANDIA RIFLES. Tho company belt was fired for, also some trophies. Sergts, Hugo and Schulenburg. nricl Private Elslov each made 34 at 200 yds.

KARORI RIFLE-CLUB. This club fired its penultimate competition in the third and last series. The day'n competition was, at 200 and 600 yards, but. several members' aUo completed their 'shooting in matches left unfinished at the 900 and 1000 yards ranges. The long range aggregate is now complete, and the special trophy allotted for the highest score therein (at 800, 900, and 1000 yards) has been «won by Rifleman (J. Holliday, with an uggregato' of, 172_ for .four matches. Rifleman Standidgo finished second with 172, and ho won outright the special'trophy ghen _for best aggregate shooting at 700 yds, his record being 96 points. ' G. '-lalliday and W.
