Midglcy Taylor, in reporting on the Napier drainage system, recommends an extension of the &ewer outfall to the end of the Eastern Pier, the relaying of certain sections of the sewer necessary, and to give, a- proper gradient. The pumping of sewage will have to be rosortedV to. Mr. Taylor considers the existing system, with the alterations he proposes, tho best possible for tho town. The whole cost, of the extension and relaying of sewers, and the purchase of pumping-plant, etc., is estimated at £39,200.
