BARKER BEATS HEATH AND DUNLOP, [PEES? ASSOOIATIOK.] SYDNEY, 19th March. The inter-State tennis match, New South Wales v. Victoria, was played here to-day, and resulted in the dofeat of the visitors by 15 rubbers to six. H. A. Parker, formerly of Wellington, New Zealand, who was one of the New South Wales representatives, was in splondid form. Ho defeated the Victorian champions, Heath and DunI lop. His excellent all-round play elicited the heartiest applause. Heath held the championship of Australia when he met Parker. Ho attended the championship meetine at Christchurch in December last, and his play was watched with a great deal of interest. F. M. B. Fisher, of Wellington, caused a surprise on the first day of the meeting by defeating Heath, after two and a half hours' fight, by three sets to two, in the New Zealand Charapionhip Singles. In tho Australasian Championship Singles, at the same tournament. Heath defeated Fisher after a hard struggle, but wps in turn defeated by Parker in the semi-final, while Parker succumbed to Wilding in tho final.
