. « (BT TEtmnAFB, — rRKSS ASSOCIATION.) OHBISTCHURCH, 22nd June. The first meeting of the creditors of William Maine, junr, bootmaker, was held at the Official Assignee's Office tihis afternoon. There were eight creditors present or represented. The statements filed showed unsecured creditors £11,565 19s Bd, and assets £13,614 lls 6d, leaving a surplus of £1948 lls lOd. Maine was adjudicated bankrupt on the petition of Bowron Bros., whose claim was £10,700. After his refusal to enter into an agreement whereby the business would be controlled by them until the amount wan liquidated, a moOion was adopted giving Maine the option of purchasing the busi- | ness at 16s in the £, failing which Bowron Bros, offered to pay creditors 14s in> the £ .vid. Mke- ver the estate. ■
