INQUEST ON THE VICTIMS.
BODIES PHOTOGRAPHED. LONDON; 251h October. An inquest lias been opened on the bodies ot those who were killed on the trawlers. The Board of Trade is having a survey made of the damage done to the vessels. The Government has ordered that the dead be photographed, showing that tne victims were pursuing their avocations when killed, with knives and pieces of fish in their hands. EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY. £±ESSAGES FROM THE KING AND 1 QUEEN. LONDON, 25th October. In a telegiam to the i\iayor of Hull, King Edwaid expiessed his profound sorrow at "the unwarrantable action of Russians," and his deepest sympathies with the families now suil'ering through the most lamentable occurrence. His Majesty also sent a contribution of two hundred guineas for the assistance of the bereaved. SUBSCRIPTIONS IOR THE SUFFERERS. (Received October 26, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, 25th October. The Queen has sent a message of sym- | pathy and enquiry to the sufferers by tne outrage, accompanied with a cheque for £100. The Marquis of Ripon, who is Lord Lieutenant of the North Riding of Yorkshire, and High Steward of Hull, has ' sent £100.
