THE UNREST IN RUSSIA.
[PKESS ASSOCIATION.] , ST. PETERSBURG, 11th April. Much satisfaction is expressed in St. Petersburg at the Tsar's action in overruling the entire educational system' of Russia. M. Pobiedonostzeff, Procurator-General of the Holy Synod, who is the leader of tho reactionaries, is described as being sullen and careworn. Grand Duke Sergius A!exandrovitch, the Tsar's uncle, tendered his resignation of the Governor-Generalship of Moscow, but the Tsar declined to accept it. The work of repressing the rioters is said" to be repugnant to officers of the army. A PLEA FOR RELIGIOUS TOLERATION. (Received April 12, 9.30 a.m.) "ST. PETERSBURG, April 11th. Count Tolstoi, the Russian reformer, in a dignified letter sent to the Tsar in December, pleaded for religious toleration, thus relieving tie Russian ruler of a tormenting responsibility.
